Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers in UK. It is a cancer that starts in the lining of the bladder wall.

There are two main types so it is important to know the type of bladder cancer you are looking for information on. If you are not clear ask your consultant, clinical nurse specialist or keyworker.

Bladder cancers are usually treated in your local hospital.

Occasionally, patients who have bladder cancer also have cancer of the urethra. This is called urethral cancer and is associated with invasive bladder cancer.
