Vaginal cancer

Cancer of the vagina is rare. Secondary cancers in the vagina are more common than primary vaginal cancer, and spread usually comes from the cervix, or the lining of the womb (endometrium), or from other organs in close proximity such as the bladder or bowel.

Other very rare types of vaginal cancer are sarcoma, lymphoma and melanoma.
