Research Network Manager
Jane joined the Research Network in May 2002.
Jane works closely with Dr David Bloomfield,Research Network Clinical Lead, to manage and develop the Sussex Cancer Research Network (SCRN) as part of the National Cancer Research Network (NCRN), in line with national and network target objectives.
The roles main objectives are: -
- the management and development of clinical trials activity across the SCRN
- developing and maintaining a portfolio of cancer trials that address local and national priorities in 3 acute trusts, (Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals, Worthing & Southlands and East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust) serving a total population of 1.2 million.
- arranging ethical and research and development approval, training and supervision of Research Network staff, quality review, collection and dissemination of information on clinical trials
- preparing reports and returns on performance for Network management and national monitoring mechanisms.
