Purpose:

Ensure collective responsibility and co-operative working across all the organisations within the Sussex Cancer Network to oversee the development of cancer services in line with national and regional requirements.

The group should be recognised by the NHS Trust Chief Executives and Health Authority Chief Executives in the Network as the appropriate final common pathway to channel business between commissioners and providers on issues relating to cancer services provided for the whole Network and to co-ordinate providers' views to any interested parties outside the NHS on such services.
