Background

The Cancer Patient Information Project was set up in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Relief in September 2004.  The purpose was to lead on the implementation of a network-wide strategy to answer the challenge of providing high quality and consistent information to people in sussex affected by cancer.

Using a model developed by the national cancer patient information team at the Cancer Services Collaborative (NHS Modernisation Agency) the Patient Information Project Manager worked closely with patients, carers and health professionals.
