Purpose
The purpose of the steering group is to guide the work of the Macmillan Psychological and Psychiatric Support Services Project Manager and to provide assistance in achieving the project aims, which are:
- To engage all relevant organisations across the geographical area covered by the Sussex Cancer Network
- To raise awareness of the range of psychological and psychiatric problems facing cancer patients and their carers/families
To improve the level of psychological and psychiatric care across the SCN, ensuring equitable access to high quality services for all cancer patients and their carers/families.
