East Sussex County Council and The Pension Service are working in partnership as the East Sussex Joint Team.
They work with partner organisations to raise older people's awareness of what services are available to them and to increase the take-up of benefits and entitlements.
The team are keen to meet pensioners, and offer more information about the financial support that is available.
Home visits can be arranged to help with:
The team can also deal with any queries about benefits already being received. Help with application forms and support people through their claim, Verify documents, to save them sending them to the Pension Centre and Signpost to other services.
When making contact with the service it is important to ensure you have the date of birth and full address of the person about whom the enquiry is about.
The service will also need to know that the customer has consented to the visit.
