This section has information about a wide range of cancer treatments and explains the process of giving consent to a treatment.

It is important that you discuss with your key worker about any concerns you might have about your treatment and that you ensure you have asked about all the possible side effects of treatment.

Some treatments (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) might affect the patient's fertility.

The Sussex Cancer Network adheres to The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidance, and the procedures recommended by the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Radiologists.

Treatments for cancer are changing and developing all of the time. A patient may be offered one or a combination of the treatments listed.
